Jantje "Jenny" Veenbaas

Jenny passed away in Abbotsford on June 8, 2019 at the age of 92, surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her husband Popke (Peter) in 2012. She is survived by her children; George (Pam), Sid (Winny), Jane, Ray (Marian), Grace (Len) and Fred, 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Jenny was born in Donkerbrook Friesland, the Netherlands on February 14, 1927.
Jenny and Pete were married in 1950 and came straight to Canada. She was kept busy raising her six children. Jenny spent countless hours volunteering in later years. In retirement, Jenny and Pete spent a lot of their time traveling the backroads of Canada and the U.S. in search of adventure.
Jenny was very happy for the many friends she got to know in Cascade Apartments for the last 15 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June17 at 1:30 pm in Living Hope Christian Reformed Church, 34631 Old Clayburn Road, Abbotsford.

I'm allowing myself to share some words that have consoled me in moments like this. Revelation 21: 4,5 ....death will be no more John 5:25 ,,,,,,,there will be a resurrection. Yes, we will be able to see our dear loved ones that have fallen asleep in death.
