CONNOR CRAIG SLOAN

AUGUST 08, 1996 – DECEMBER 24, 2019

IT IS WITH SADDENED HEARTS THAT WE ANNOUNCE THE SUDDEN PASSING OF OUR SON AND BIG BROTHER CONNOR SLOAN.

CONNOR TOUCHED SO MANY PEOPLE WITH HIS PURELY, GENUINE HEART. HE WILL BE LOVINGLY REMEMBERED AND MISSED BY HIS PARENTS CRAIG AND TAMMY, SISTERS BREANNA AND VICTORIA, GRANDPARENTS SYDNEY AND JUNE SLOAN, GRANDFATHER ROCKNE BRAATEN AND ALL OF HIS AUNTS, UNCLES, COUSINS AND FRIENDS.HE WAS PRE-DECEASED BY HIS GRANDMOTHER PENELOPE BRAATEN.

CONNOR WORKED AT ASPHULND CANADA, AND WHILE THERE ENJOYED WORKING OUTDOORS WITH HIS CREW, AND ESPECIALLY LOVED THE VIEWS FROM THE TOP OF THE TREES AND THE BUCKET.

CONNOR WAS ALSO A VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER WITH THE CULTUS LAKE FIRE DEPARTMENT. CONNOR COULD BE FOUND ATTENDING ALL PARADES AND COMMUNITY EVENTS ALWAYS READY AND WILLING TO DO ANY TASK NEEDED. CONNOR REALLY LOVED AND APPRECIATED ALL OF HIS FIREFIGHTING BROTHERS AND SISTERS.

IN HIS YOUTH CONNOR WAS A CADET WITH THE 147 AIRWOLF- ROYAL CANADIAN AIR CADET SQUADRON.  DURING THIS TIME, CONNOR WOULD BECOME KNOWN AS “SMASHY”. HE HAD FOND MEMORIES OF   GLIDING, FIRST AID COMPETITIONS, OUTDOOR ADVENTURES AND FRIENDSHIPS.

HE LOVED HAVING EPIC MEAL TIME NIGHTS WITH THE BOYS AND HE WOULD NEVER TURN DOWN A BONFIRE OR SMORES NO MATTER THE WEATHER. HIS LOVE OF MUSIC SENT HIM TO AS MANY CONCERTS AND FESTIVALS AS POSSIBLE WITH HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

HIS SINCERE KINDNESS TOWARDS OTHERS, THE SPONTANEOUS ADVENTURES AS WELL AS HIS CONTAGIOUS LAUGHTER WILL BE MISSED DEARLY BY ALL THOSE THAT WERE FORTUNATE TO HAVE HAD HIM IN THEIR LIVES.

MAY YOU BE FOREVER HAPPY AND REST IN PEACE SWEETIE.
