Important Message Regarding COVID-19


 

As our communities continue to feel the increasing impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we want to share with you what we are doing to keep our families, guests and team members healthy and safe. Please be assured that we are treating this situation seriously as we have protocols in place and are continually monitoring ongoing developments. 

We remain committed to helping families honour the lives of their loved ones through meaningful services and gatherings, while respecting the unique challenges brought by COVID-19 and have implemented the policies below.

Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services
COVID-19 Policies and Procedures

  • Development of an online platform to complete arrangements with the assistance of a Funeral Director over the phone or video conference to limit in-person contact

  • Appointments are required for all visitors to our facilities

  • Masks are required for all visitors and staff at our facilities

  • Touchless hand sanitizing stations are available at all entrances and within our facilities

  • When a funeral director is visiting a family’s home, they will wear a mask. We also ask that families wear masks and that only members of that household are present

  • Maintaining a list of all visitors and attendees with contact information at our facilities and all Funeral and Memorial Service locations 

  • Limiting the number of people who enter our facilities for arrangements and visitations

  • Maintaining physical distancing at all times at our facilities and at Funeral and Memorial Service locations 

  • Enhanced and regular sanitizing of our entire facility and vehicles

  • Taking and logging staff temperatures daily
