Morganne Dancer

February 1st, 2023

January 11, 1943 – February 1, 2023

Morganne died peacefully with the assistance of MAID at the age of 80.

Morganne was born in Scotland but spent most of her life in Vancouver.  She left her career as a dental hygienist in 1998 to open a ladies’ consignment store which she was very passionate about.  She called her store ‘Wear it again Sam’ as a tribute to her beloved dog Sammy who kept her company at the store all day.  In her younger years Morganne enjoyed some traveling and going out for a fun evening of dancing.  Unfortunately her asthma and arthritis made her health grow worse in her last few years.  No service by request.

Messages:

I had the privilege of knowing Morganne for 10 years before I moved across Canada. I’m glad I had the chance to speak to her on the phone a while back and caught up with her on the phone. We went to many social events, concerts and movies. I’d go visit her at her store and my dog would visit with her dog. I miss you Morganne. Rest In Peace. I’ll always cherish our friendship. Love to you in Heaven from Kula and I.

I met Morganne at her store on Broadway where she enjoyed her work and was always very fair to her consignment customers. We became friends and I became her accountant. In 2016 we became neighbours when I found her an apartment just two buildings from my home. I held her hand when she passed and told her she would live on in my heart.
