Lambertus "Bert" Wieger Wolters

Mr. Lambertus (Bert) Wieger Wolters died peacefully at Fleetwood Place Care Facility on Sunday September 8th in Surrey, BC at the age of 83.

Bert is survived by his wife and sweetheart of 30 years, Helga (Polischuk); children, Paul Wolters (wife Rachel), Adrien Wolters (wife Michelle); grandchildren, Luke Wolters (wife Sarah) and Mary-Beth Wolters (wife Miranda); great grandchild, Atticus; and his first wife, Bea Harks. Siblings Brother Jeene Wolters (Wife Hok), John Wolters (younger brother) Predeceased by: Brother Sixtus (Siep) (Wife Mieka), and Sister Lamberta (died in infancy)

Bert was born 1936 in Leeuwarden, Friesland in the Netherlands to Evert and Anna (de Wolf) Wolters. Bert came to Canada in 1952 with his family and settled in the Winnipeg area.  In 1959 Bert married Bea and went to work for Macleod’s department store, eventually taking on a management position. After moving his family several times throughout Saskatchewan Bert pursued some further education that allowed him to take on a position with the Bank of Montreal.  This eventually allowed him to move his family to the ‘big city’ of Regina.  In Regina he partnered with a bank client to start a Century 21 real estate   office. which during the booming times gave him the opportunity to move again to the West and start a branch office.  In late 70’s, early 80’s, Bert and his first wife started a new venture with Merle Norman Cosmetics.  After Merle Norman, Bert ventured into many and varied Multi-level marketing experiences that took him around the world and allowed him to touch many people’s lives.  He made friends all over the world.

Bert was an accomplished salesman who enjoyed motivating people to succeed. He was a generous individual who loved to talk to people about multiple subjects and all the things he was passionate about, especially the world of entrepreneurial success available to everyone. He was a member of the Church and strongly believed in the values that represent the best of the faith.  His faith was important to him and he was dedicated to praising God whenever he could, often saying “Getting better every day in, in every way with the grace of God.

A Memorial Service has been scheduled for 10:30 Am, September 25th at Immaculate Conception Church, 8842 - 119 St, Delta. Father Abundo will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bert’s life.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to World Vision Canada – Charity for Children. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Fleetwood Place for their care and dedication.  We would also like to thank Patti Kyryluk and Farmi Ghafari for their generous unfailing support.

So kind and caring and always happy. Unfortunately my mom ended up in emergency this morning & therefore we cannot come to the service as we planned. Bert was a wonderful man with so much love to give. He was a great friend to my late Father and was there to support me after his loss. His wisdom will be forever missed.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Bert's passing! I knew Bert and Helga through Morinda. I remember Bert always being very upbeat and cheerful. My thoughts are with Helga and their family.

Please accept our deepest sympathies at the loss of your father. We were friends and neighbours for many years, and spent many hours with him over the last six months. Although often in pain, he was always interesting and cheerful, a REAL GENTLEMAN. We shall miss him and always remember him. RIP, Bert......

It was such a pleasure knowing Bert for the past 20 years. He had so many amazing and interesting stories to share each time Farmi and I visited with them. His bright and positive outlook on life regardless of the circumstances was something to be admired. He will be in our hearts and minds forever and we will miss him greatly. Unfortunately we will be away for the service but our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Bert's family. We are so sorry for your loss.
