David Degano

February 24th, 2019

On February 24, 2019, the world lost an amazing, and hardworking man. David Degano, 57, died after a strong battle with cancer at 3:10 A.M. at Surrey Memorial Hospital with his family at his side.

Born in Vancouver, Dave was the third born brother of six siblings. He was a husband, father, brother and a friend. Dave was a proud worker for the City of Burnaby. He demonstrated his strong work ethic and vibrant personality with not only his co-workers but anyone who had the pleasure to interact with him. He will be forever remembered for his quirky humour and loving compassion towards others.

A celebration of life in his honour will take place on Sunday, March 24 at the Firefighters Banquet and Conference Centre (6515 Bonsor Ave, Burnaby) at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Lymphoma Cancer research would be greatly appreciated. To make a donation please visit: https://bccancerfoundation.com/why-give/research/lymphoma.

You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family.

Hi Sue, I am so sorry to just now learn that your Dave is not with you and your children. Perhaps you are aware that Dave Shenton passed away Dec 31st. Knowing you and Dave were friends of DS, I just did a quick search on the internet for you and Dave and of course learned of your loss. Kind Regards, Harvey

David, It's Thursday morning and the recycling awaits for the weekly pickup. It saddens me for there will be no wave and no smile today. The distant sound of the truck gave our Grandpa Eddy just enough time to walk down the driveway to receive your arrival.......how your "hello" or a quick chat just brightened up our day here on Randolph Avenue! David you are missed! The Caravaggio family send our condolences to the Degano Family.

So sorry to hear of Daves' sudden passing. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and loving family.

To Sue, Christy & Jeff Sincere condolences to your Family at this difficult time. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived. Barb & Stan Sandover
