Ione Bradwell

Born in Vancouver to Ivan and Elsie Campbell, Ione married Owen Bradwell in 1947 and moved to Alberta in 1949. Here they raised three daughters, and it was 20 years later they returned to Ione’s beloved West Coast. While living in North Vancouver, Ione worked in Woodward’s downtown store office.
In the mid 70’s they moved to Abbotsford where Ione transferred to the new 7-Oak’s Woodward’s. Ione enjoyed curling, dancing, and shopping, but mostly she loved walking. She walked the 10km Stanley Park Seawall yearly until she was 90.
She volunteered with the Hospital Auxiliary and the Kiwanis. Ione moved to Ceaderbrooke Manor in Mission where she received great support when her dementia escalated. She lived her last 4.5 years at the Menno Home (E.2). Her family will be forever grateful for the thoughtful compassionate care she received.
Ione is predeceased by her parents, husband Owen, brother Del, and son-in-law Kim. She is survived by daughters Diane (Neil), Lind and Heather (Les), 7 grandchildren, Karen, Carrie, Vincent, Tim, Alison, Braden and Brittany. 13 great grandchildren and one great grandson as well as many extended family members.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
