I had a passing of a family member today and have been speaking to other funeral homes, as I have never dealt with a death of a family member. I was given a price from another home and it seemed outrageous. I looked at other options in the area and saw your site.
I reached out to the local phone number on your site and was connected with Kim, who I had woken up in her sleep. For someone who was just woken up by a phone call at 11:30 pm, Kim was amazing to speak with.
She was extremely helpful, compassionate and informative, especially since I had just woken her up. After being stressed and on the phone for hours and hours, Kim made the process seem personal and eased the burden of the task ahead. Needless to say, I will be using your company for the cremation.

Kudos to Kim Nobert, Manager of "Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services®", who assisted our family following Dad's death. Our dealings with Kim and her company were so much easier and far less expensive than the other funeral company we have dealt with in the past. We did not have to go back and forth to the funeral parlor, she came to our house three times. Kim was very compassionate, gracious and helpful in getting Dad's affairs in order and we are very grateful to her for that.

Thank you very much for handling the remains of my precious husband with tact and class. It made it easier for myself and family.
When my husband was terminally ill at home, we heard through the home care nurse of another family pleased with Alternatives. They were glad to come to our home and talk to the family. We were so impressed. When my husband died, they came the same morning and was arranged in our home. The cost was reasonable and we would highly recommend them.
I cannot speak highly enough of your Funeral Director’s kindness, sensitivity, and quiet assurance that all will be taken care of, and professional service. You are fortunate to have such a dedicated person working on behalf of your company.
There was nothing usual about the circumstances that connected us with Kim and the team at Alternative. The death of our daughter was sudden, happened in another province and during lockdown. We didn't know what to do, we didn't know what we really wanted and we didn't know what was possible, all the while trying to come to terms with shock and grief.
What was important to us was working with people who were professional, knew what to do and could take some of the burden, but more importantly could make whatever we wanted just happen. That's exactly what Kim and the team did. They took care of all the details and nothing was too much or couldn't be done one way or another. All very graciously and respectfully, with great care and compassion.
There was no discussion about "packages" or "set services" it really started with what we wanted to do and then took shape from there. When you lose a loved one, there is nothing that can replace the sense of loss or grief, but those who can make the process steps easier, and special and right for you and your family, and your loved one, that is what matters most.
It's difficult to talk about costs in these testimonials because you want to do the right thing regardless, but still you want to be treated fairly. Also if you haven't done this before, or your asks are unusual (like transporting a loved one across the country) then you are not as informed as you might otherwise be. We do know based on one comparison that the costs were very reasonable (better even) and Kim and the team were transparent and did their best to work with trusted partners who were competitive and would do everything professionally - particularly for the steps that had to be coordinated and conducted out of province. We were also kept appraised of what was happening and when as our daughter made a special journey of her own to make her way to BC for us to see her one last time.
We are so grateful for the compassionate and thoughtful support and all you did in making this part of our journey a little easier. Thank you.
