Norman Vincent Calkin

November 15th, 2021

Born in Trail, BC on September 15, 1956 and passed away peacefully on November 15, 2021 at Abbotsford General Hospital. He is survived by Cheryl, his wife of 10 years, and 8 adult children.

Norm was an engineer for CN Railway for 3 years.  He was an avid train buff who could often been seen in the evening sitting down by the border in his truck watching the work trains. He would sometimes get out of the truck and talk to the workers.

Norm was a long-haul trucker for most of his life, travelling from BC to back east and sometimes to the US. He drove for Elke Brothers, Trans X and C n A Projects. He really liked talking about his trucking experience. He could give you the places and dates of everywhere he had been.

A Celebration of life will be held at a future date. Please check this site for time and place. Donations can be made to your favorite charity.
