Important message regarding COVID-19

As our communities continue to feel the increasing impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we want to share with you what we are doing to keep our families, guests and team members healthy and safe. Please be assured that we are treating this situation seriously as we have protocols in place and are continually monitoring ongoing developments.

We remain committed to helping families honour the lives of their loved ones through meaningful services and gatherings, while respecting the unique challenges brought by COVID-19.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve reviewed and enhanced our procedures where necessary to keep families, guests and team members safe:

  • Any team members who exhibit any cold or flu-like symptoms have been instructed to stay home from work.
  • We’ve made available more hand-pump sanitizers in our lobbies, office areas and vehicles for guests and team members to disinfect when they enter and leave our facilities.
  • We’re reviewing industry, government and health authority recommendations daily and updating our procedures accordingly.

We have also advised our team members to practice “Social Distancing” and avoid large social gatherings and limit physical contact such as handshakes with families and guests.

At your request, we can make funeral and cremation arrangements by email, teleconference (video, where available) or telephone to avoid contact in our offices or in your home. If you have concerns about attending a visitation or a funeral, please call us to discuss options or consider leaving a supportive message for the family on our website.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call. Again, our utmost importance is to  ensure the safety of our families, guests and team members, and to honour the lives of their loved ones through this challenging time.

Thank you for your patience as we all navigate these challenging times.
