Carol Ann Mawdsley

September 19th, 2022

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Carol Ann Mawdsley, who left us September 19th, 2022, just two days shy of her 88th birthday.  Carol was born and raised in Trail where she met and married Verne Mawdsley. They lived in Richmond, Toronto and Edmonton then retired back to her hometown of Trail.  Carol spent the last 4 years in Kelowna and in April of this year she moved to Mountainside Village in Fruitvale.

Carol was an avid sportswoman, she played basketball, curling, speed skating and loved to golf.  She was predeceased by her husband Verne, son Bruce, siblings Mary Ellen (Pie) Laface, Tommy (Sherry) Bingham and her parents Tommy & Marion Bingham, and we can’t forget her beloved dog Taffy.  She leaves behind her daughter Joanne, granddaughters Christina (Cory), Brieanna and Emma, 3 great-grandchildren Owen, Liam and Rorik, sister-in-law Irene (Norm) Arnott, brother-in-law David (Sondra) Mawdsley and many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to caring staff at KBRH.

At Carol’s request no service will be held. Andreas Schmitz of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Carol can be made to the charity of one’s choice.

You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.
