Ivy Isabella Fowler

September 13th, 2022

In loving memory
Ivy Isabella “Noosh” Fowler
March 26, 1924 - Sept. 13, 2022

Ivy passed away peacefully at Columbia View Lodge at the age of 98. Ivy was born in Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan and moved to Rossland, BC when she was five then moved to Trail when she married her husband Teddy.

Ivy was an avid golfer and reader.  She enjoyed playing badminton, many card games and attended church, which was very important to her.  Ivy served in World War II and was stationed in Vancouver, BC.  She then had a few jobs in the Trail area before landing a job at the Trail School Board as the Payroll/Benefits Clerk until she retired in 1987 at the age of 63.  Ivy’s family was very important to her!  She attended all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events and shared many special moments with them.  Ivy was lovingly known as “Noosh” and was an inspiration to many.  She will be deeply missed!

Ivy was predeceased by her husband Ted Fowler, her parents William and Lily Scott, brothers Len, Ralph, Jim, Ray, Will and Archie, and her sister Girlie (Thelma) Henry.

She is survived by her daughter Lynda (Danny) Friess, grandchildren; Jamie Friess, Cory (Heather) Friess, Shawna (Shane) Kubik and her great-grandchildren; Cheyanne (Cam) Friess, Colton and Wyatt Friess and Zakary and Lukas Kubik.

The family would like to thank Dr. Fischer and Dr. Baxter, the KBRH 2nd Floor and Columbia View Lodge staff for their amazing care, kindness and support.

A private immediate family service will be held at a later date. Andreas Schmitz of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.

As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made in Ivy’s memory to the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital Health Foundation at 1200 Hospital Bench, Trail, BC  V1R 4M1 or online at www.kbrhhealthfoundation.ca

Lynda, Danny & Family... I am saddened to hear of Ivy's passing. Between Danny and myself... we spent lots of time driving Ivy and my Gram to and from the bus for their many day trips and I always loved hearing of their day at the shows in Spokane or a trip to Bonners where it seemed like, to hear them tell the stories, they were never lucky! Circle yourself in beautiful memories. Thinking of you! ~*Ronda*~
