Lynda Stewart was born on August 6, 1946, in Vancouver, BC, as Lynda Lee Lester. She passed away peacefully after a courageous 20-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Lynda was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Jenny Lester and her grandson Shane Sitnik.
Lynda is survived by her loving husband, Gary, her 3 daughters, Debbie, Michelle (Ray) and Nikki, her grandchildren, Steven, Ethan, Addisyn and Ryan, great grandchildren, Hadyn, Sawyer and Cooper, her sister, Joanne, and nephew Michael.
Lynda and Gary settled in the Bradner/Jubilee Community in 1975 and raised their family on a acreage with horses and cattle. She had a love for gardening and transformed the yard into a botanical treasure.
Lynda supported the family businesses but most of her time was spent being involved and volunteering with the kids and their activities whether it was 4-H, Pony Club or Dance.
Lynda had a tremendous love for everything family, she would regularly have family/friend get-togethers, with a motto of “the more the merrier”. She was a talented cook and baker and ensured that everyone was fed…. Very well! Cheesecake anyone????
Lynda had a passion for horses and spent most of the years on the farm breeding them. She was well known within the horse community and made many friends.
Because of her Parkinsons diagnosis, Lynda adopted physical fitness to keep the disease at bay. She enjoyed running, lifting, strong man activities.
As we look back on her life, we think of her Strength, Compassion, Commitment to family and later in life, her resilience. She gave us a life full of her support, encouragement, advice, and realistic views.

To quote James Joyce, "They lived and laughed and loved and left." And the world will never be the same. I will miss her as long as I live. Her strength of character was her glory and I am so very grateful for her unwavering friendship throughout the years. Rest in peace my dear friend. My sincere condolences to the entire family.
