Messages:

We were incredibly sad to learn that our dear and long time friend, Cliff had passed away suddenly. Thankfully, we have many great memories of our times together. Our get together for cards and dinners were great fun. Very little chit chat happened while we played card games as Cliff liked to focus on the game at hand. Conversation was for afterward! These were fun times. We will miss him very much.

I have just lost one of my best friends of over 50 years. We met in high school and along with Neil our friendships endured all those years. I guess you could call us the three amigos. Cliff was a very caring, soft spoken individual and a gentle nature caring about him. If you will bear with me just a moment, I would like those who read this get a glimpse of our early years as teenagers and young adults. Along with Neil, we did many different things together. Cliff like to play rumolli and we had many long evenings of fun and laughter. We also golfed for a short while, and Cliff being quite muscular could outdrive me from the tee box. I remember one game where I got Neil to distract him, and I replaced the ball he teed up with an exploding golf ball. To this day, I still smile at the look on his face as the golf ball exploded and then his laughter afterward. Knowing his wonderful sense of humour, I knew I could get away with that one. On other occasions the three of would go bowling and to a pizza place called Ron's Place. In fact just a few weeks before his passing, we were sitting and reminiscing about our favourite pizza called Rons Hot Shot. A Cliff was reminding me how the only way to eat this pizza because it was truly hot, was to down a glass of milk before had, to coat our throat and stomach in order to soften the blow. Then Cliff met Joanne, the love of his life. To say the I was honoured to be part of the wedding party is an understatement. I still have the necktie that was given to each of the wedding party, as well as a book of BC that was a gift for each of us. I was so proud to show those to him about a year ago, as that was how much his friendship meant to me. In recent years, I enjoyed our dinners out Cliff and Joanne at his favourite restaurant, getting together at each other place when time permitted. It is not easy to say goodbye to a friend of his caliber, he will forever remain a friend in my heart. Rest in peace. Joanne, we are here for you whenever you need us, as you to have touched our hearts in a special way.

We were very sad to learn of our good friend Cliff's unexpected passing. We treasure our more than 40 years of friendship with Cliff and Joanne and greatly miss our nights of canasta! Cliff was a good friend and a great husband and father who cared first for his family and then his friends. We are thankful that he is now home with his Lord and Savior and no longer struggling with his physical issues.

Uncle Cliff, we are so sad that we didn't get to say good bye. We treasure The visit we had a few summers ago at Starbucks The memories of Sunday roast beef dinners at Granny and Grampa Meeds are some of the best. You loved your cream corn with lots of pepper. So many boxing day get togethers. Aunty Joanne's homemade turkey soup with Granny's dumplings. The tradition That Aunty Joanne continued of the famous baking we all enjoyed. Lauren and Brittany always knew they would get pennies from Uncle Cliff when we visited. It is because of our hope we have in Jesus that we know we will see you again in heaven one day, where death and dying and tears will be no more. When we all get to heaven oh what a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all are Jesus we will sing and shout the Victory. Amen Love, Laura and Dave Osborne
