Beatrice Chisholm

November 5th, 2020

Beatrice Chisholm (Lyver) age 82 passed away peacefully November 1, 2020 after her courageous battle with lung cancer – with her family by her side. Beatrice was born in Buchans, Newfoundland in 1938.

In 1958 she accepted a proposal from Tom Chisholm her loving husband of 61 years and traveled on her own to Vancouver, BC to be married. Bea and Tom raised 5 loving children, Tommy (Lynne), Shawn, Cathy, Lorelei Coatta (Sean) and Siobhan Otter (Mark). She has left behind nine loving grandchildren; Elise (Andrew), Leah (Dan), Kody, Kendra, Paige (Blake), Kacy (Steven), Shane (Courtney), Duncan and Lilly. Seven great grandchildren; Myah, Thomas, Foster, Zoey, Presley, Monroe and Wyatt. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews in BC and Newfoundland. Beatrice is also survived by her sister Irene Ormrod, brother Jerry Lyver, sister in law Etta Chisholm and sister in law Marguerite Chisholm, who she considered her best friend. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them - all of whom she loved deeply and left her loving imprint on. She was in a class all her own.

As a faithful Catholic, and keeping in mind COVID-19 restrictions, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Bea would welcome all into her home with open arms -and a huge feast was always included.

A future celebration to honour Beatrice will be arranged when it is safe to do so.

Bea will be dearly missed by all.

You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family.
