Donald L. Lockwood of Kamloops BC passed away on 09/07/2022 at the age of 88. Don is survived by his children Greg, Maryanne, Charlene, their spouses, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Don is predeceased by the love of his life, Shirley who he married in Penticton in 1957.
After they were married, they moved up to the Yukon to work on the Alaska Highway and the Lodge at 1202 mil during the summer months. They then moved to Prince George where they had their 3 children and where Don worked for Motor Car Parts and built a cabin on Tezzeron Lake. In 1968 they moved to Kamloops and then onto Lytton where they purchased a general store in 1972. When they sold the store in 1978, they moved and purchased hardware store in Golden. They sold the store and moved to Chilliwack to purchase a hobby farm, where they raised various farm animals until Don purchased a pressure washing business and moved to Port Hardy. After 5 years in Port Hardy, they sold the business and retired to the farm. In 2008 they returned to Kamloops as Don preferred the drier climate.
Don loved being close with his family. He loved going hunting, camping, and fishing with his kid sand grandkids. He enjoyed playing cards and never missed a Hockey game. He will forever be in our hearts.
Funeral will be at Saint Saviours Anglican Church in Penticton, on September 17, 2022, at 2:00 pm.
