December 19, 1956 - June 24, 2021Ken sadly passed away quietly in his sleep at age 64 on Thursday, June 24, 2021 after a 2-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Tracy; daughter, Jenna; mother, Marie; sisters, Lorelei (Kevin), Lindia; Mother-in-law, Laurine; Father-in-law, Dennis (Phoebe); two brothers-in-law and great friends, Don and Clint (Barb); and 8 nieces and nephews who he cared for very much. Predeceased by his father, Gordon Earle Hubbell.
Ken was born in Germany on December 19th, 1956. He and his parents returned to Alberta in 1958 and they eventually settled in Wainwright. Later, he moved to Hanna and met his wife. They married in 1983 and moved around a bit until they ended up in Airdrie, had their daughter in 1987, and have stayed ever since.
Ken graduated from SAIT in 1984 and was an electronic technician for the majority of his life. Him and his wife owned a 20-acre piece of land that he enjoyed spending time at, and he was an avid reader. Ken enjoyed spending time with family and friends, had a great sense of humor, and he could fix just about anything. His presence in all of our lives will be greatly missed.
We wish to thank the wonderful people at AgeCare Skypointe for their amazing care and compassion during the most difficult days of our lives.
There will be no service held, but we will be having a gathering of rememberence at home on Saturday, July 3rd, starting at 1 pm. All who wish to attend to pay respects and remember Ken are welcome. You can contact Jenna by email for more information and the address at jennatmh@gmail.com.
Deepest condolences to Tracy and Jenna and family. I knew Ken in the early 80s when he met Tracy and was maid of honour at their wedding in Hanna. I remember Ken's humour, sense fun and philosophy. Prayers for strength and may your good memories of Ken carry you forward.
