Bud Bernice Brandt

August 22nd, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that after a brave, long fight, our beautiful wife, mother and grandmother Bud Brandt passed away from Ocular cancer on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the age of 70.

Bud Bernice Brandt was born November 12 , 1950 in Cartwright, Manitoba to William and Anne Friesen. Bud was the 3rd of 7 children and lived in Mather, Manitoba until they moved to Steinbach, Manitoba. Bud and Dennis retired in Airdrie, Alberta in 2016.

Bud loved life & her greatest joys were her family. She had an extraordinary green thumb, she passionately grew the most breathtaking gardens. She had a gift for interior design & her eyes lit up doing any renovation project. Bud was very down to earth, she loved spending time outdoors, camping or riding with Dennis on their Harley.

Bud was also a fashionista, she always had the most incredible style, and humbly took pride in the glamorous things in life.

Bud was a strong woman of faith. We have comfort knowing she is strong, healthy & whole, rejoicing with her Saviour in heaven.

Bud is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis Brandt; sons, Jason (Katherine) Brandt and Sheldon (Angela) Brandt; grand children, Madeline, Ireland, Brodie, Draven, and Jude Brandt; father, William A. Friesen; brothers, John (Helen) Friesen, Jake (Agnes) Friesen, Harry (Mary) Friesen, Jerry (Bev) Friesen and Edward (Gina) von Riesen; sister, Laura (Stu) Bignell; as well as many nieces, nephews and families.

Due to current COVID restrictions we will be having a Celebration of Life at a later underdetermined date.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcome to the Go Fund me for Bud Brandt for continued help with expenses incurred with her cancer treatment in Mexico.  https://gofund.me/382ea8d3

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, support & prayers shown to Bud & our family during her illness. It meant so much to her & blessed our hearts to know how deeply she was loved.
