Jenny Henneveld

May 4th, 1937 ~ September 5th, 2021

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Jenny Henneveld (nee Stad), on September 5, 2021.

Jenny was born in Holland on May 4, 1937, to Cornelis and Annigje Stad. Jenny was preceded by her loving husband Henoch, and her siblings Gina, Klaas, John, Bill and Roelie. Jenny is survived by her sister Ank, daughters Dorothy (Meg), Lucinda (Alan), Elizabeth (William) and Monique (Randal). Jenny also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Rebecca, Kevin (Elizabeth), Linden, Hannah, Eric, Geneva, Bronwyn, Sarah, Caleb, and Corina.

Jenny loved the beauty of creation, gardening, walking, singing and she loved her community. She lived with an open, loving and faith filled heart. Jenny depended on the Lord for every step in her life. She was a wonderful example of strength, faithfulness, persistence and joy. She will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank Menno Home for their extraordinary care and support for Jenny in the past four years, in particular, Primrose Gardens, West Two and East One.

There will be a celebration of her life at New Life Christian Reformed Church in Abbotsford, on Saturday October 9th, at 10 am. Online livestreaming will be available for those unable to attend in person.

Messages:

To Dorothy, Lucinda, Elizabeth and Monique My condolences to you for the loss of your mom. She was a joy to be around, always having a great sense of humour and I’ll never forget her beautiful big smile. We will all miss her very much. I wish I could be there with you to celebrate her life. You are in my prayers.

Dear Dorothy, Elizabeth, Lucinda, and Monique, Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of your much loved Mother. May the many memories you have of time spent together with her and the love of God our Father fill your hearts with comfort and peace.

Dear Dorothy, Lucinda, Elizabeth and Monique, Sending prayers your way for comfort and peace. Joe and I have very fond memories of both of your folks from school, church and bridge club. When I struggled to call them by their first names (since I taught their children), I was urged to consider them as my siblings in Christ. After that I had no trouble calling them Jenny and Henoch! May good memories give you much comfort! Sending love!

My condolences to your family. I remember her laugh so well. My brothers also send their condolences.
