Rosemarie "Rosie" Ann Cook

April 10th, 2020

Rosemarie "Rosie" Ann Cook, (née Sicard) passed away peacefully the morning of April 10th, 2020 at Vancouver General Hospital, surrounded in love from family and friends who are grateful she will suffer no more.

Sadly, Rosie was predeceased by her husband, Tony Beaulieu, son "Little" Tony Beaulieu Jr. (Kathy Morgan) and her mother Marion Sicard.

Rosemarie is survived by her loving son’s Richard Beaulieu and Jim Moir (Melissa), grandsons Aiden and Jackson, sister Elizabeth Bryant, nephew Jeffrey Bryant among many other relatives and close friends of which there are too many to name.

Born 1949 in Kingston Jamaica, Rosemarie spent her childhood with her family in Kingston until the family relocated to Vancouver, Canada in 1964. Rosie always felt a strong connection to her birthplace and revelled in a good Bob Marley song, even to her last days.

Rosemarie loved animals, spending time with family, travel, and a good conversation with a close friend, preferably on a patio with her garden nearby. Attributes included being caring and loyal, a close ear when needed, providing timely sound advice or a shoulder to cry on and her unwavering support in any situation. When words need not be spoken Rosie would remain present and be there in any way that she could. Beloved by her clients and colleagues, she retired from 33 years in the Health Care field in 2017, remaining close with several clients turned friends. Rosie was selfless and had a passion for caring for people in every aspect of her life.

Rosemarie stood most proud when beaming about her sons and grandchildren whose laughter would bring a sparkle to her eye. Most grateful to have had the love of her sons, and the hugs of her grandchildren, mom lived without regrets and will suffer no more. Rosie, you are forever to be missed but never forgotten.

Sincere thanks to the staff at VGH for their sensitive and gentle care for Rosie in her last days.

“One Love, One Heart, Let’s get together and feel alright.”

“As it was in the beginning, so shall it be in the end.”

Donations in lieu of flowers in Rosie's name can be made to the SPCA given her love of animals.
