Everett Clifford Wright

WRIGHT, Everett

February 8, 1932 – July 24, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Everett Clifford Wright announce his    passing at the age of 90 years old in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

Everett Wright was born in Olds, Alberta on February 8, 1932. He married the love of his life, Clara Schneidmiller. On the weekends, Everett and Clara would enjoy get-togethers with friends and family in their home. Everett loved to dance and was at his happiest when he could dance the night away with his wife, Clara. Soon after they were married, Everett and Clara moved to Calgary and he began his career at Redi-Cut Lumber in Midnapore. Everett was a wizard at math and could always estimate a project within a sheet of lumber, by simply pointing at the wall and shaking his finger. Everett then went on to open his own company, E & C Wright Developments Ltd., building custom homes in the Calgary and Olds area. He won the New Homes Certification Golden Hammer Award for Outstanding Home Building and Customer Service. He was very proud of this accomplishment as an independent builder.

Everett is lovingly remembered by his two sons, Colin (Marsi) and Calvin (Steve). Everett was a proud grandfather. He loved his three grandchildren, Stephanie (Conn), Jordan (Kayla) and Giovanni, and was proud of all their accomplishments. Everett was predeceased by Clara in 1996 and infant son, Clifford in 1962.

As requested by Everett, a Funeral will be held at the Didsbury Cemetery located at 1101 18 Street, Didsbury, Alberta on Thursday, July 28 at 11:00am.
