Messages:

So sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. He will be missed. You picked a great one Carole! Ken has always had a special place in my heart. He encouraged me as I pursued flying which led me into the corporate pilot field. You and Ken welcomed us into your home for a couple of months when we moved to Calgary for a new flying job. Thank you Carole! Our hearts go out to you and your family. Love Glen and Dorothy

Dear Carole, I am saddened to hear of Ken’s passing. I have so many fond memories of both of you serving at King’s Fold. Ken was gem, and someone we will always remember and give thanks to God for who he was and for how he was a faithful servant of God. I am praying for you and your family as you grieve. May you find comfort and peace knowing that he is at peace in the arms of our gracious and most merciful God.

Carol, I appreciated the opportunity to house sit for you and Ken at a transition point in my life. You were both so kind. On your return, you gave me a stay at Kings Fold as a thank you, a place I already knew and loved. Since then, when I've returned, I've looked for signs that your tenancy as librarian has continued, which I've been delighted to see. What a wonderful way to live in retirement, a long commitment by both of you to a house of healing. I hope that that beautiful space will give you rest for your soul as you grieve.

Ken is as good as they come. Kind, generous, servant…he loves taking care of people and making sure their needs are being met, especially practical things around the house and vehicles. He is greatly missed.

Dear Carole I send you my deepest condolences at this time of deep longing. A soothing word: “For each twilight - a dawn… For each trial - the strength to carry on, For each storm cloud - a rainbow… For each parting - sweet memories when sorrow is done.” - Ralph W. Emerson I hope to be seeing you in the Kingsfold Library soon. Love & prayers for you, Sheri-Lee

I was so sorry to hear the news about Ken. Yes, he has 'entered eternal rest' ~ but it's always hard for those left behind. He was a true gentleman who reflected God's heart of generosity and gentleness. I loved hearing his stories and prayers ... and he shared with such a twinkle in his eye. His warmth and kindness have blessed me and so many - I feel so glad that I knew him. Carole - I'm praying for the deep peace of Immanuel to hold you and keep you.

Thoughts are with your family, May cherished memories help you through your loss.

Dear Carole and family: May our Lord be your comforter in these life changing days. I have fond memories of you and Ken from the time you spent in Vancouver. Hugs Erma Thomson

Evelyn and I have enjoyed many years of friendship with Ken and Carole. Ken was always so sensitive and caring in his relationships - not only with us but with so many others. We will miss him and pray that God will comfort Carole as she says goodbye to this wonderful man.

I am truly saddened to learn of Ken’s departure from this life and wish Carol and each of the children (& their families) comfort and peace.
