SCHMITT, ROSE MARIE (nee Wagman)

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Rose Marie Schmitt.

Rose was born on January 26th, 1926 in Mendham, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Teresa’s Covenant Care on Friday, February 19, 2021 at the age of 95.  Rose was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Arthur Schmitt and numerous brothers, sisters, relatives and friends.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Lori Graham-App (Reinhold), Lou Schmidt (John), Richard Schmitt (Joanne), Brenda Olson (Barry Schadeck) and Charlene Schmitt (Gary Clark).  She is also lovingly remembered by seven special grandchildren, Tammy Dowell, Melanie Weitkunat (Todd), Carlene Meeks (Scot), Katrina Olson-Mottahed (Sonny), Kenny Schmitt (Ila), Curtis Schmitt (Leah Lowrey) and Karalyn Reardon (Tyler); and her eight Great grandchildren who she adored immensely and would light up whenever they were around, Tiana, Tanner, Tala, Persia, Wyley, Paige, Violet and Henrik.

Rose was a skilled homemaker, cook, baker and seamstress. She had a passion for making family and friends feel at home and would welcome us all into her home for a cooked meal or some of her delicious baking.
Rose loved dancing, vacationing in Hawaii and camping with family and friends.

We will always remember her for her loving ways, her happy demeanour, kindness, guidance and devotion to her family.

Due to current “Covid” restrictions, a Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
