Doris Schmidt, beloved wife, for 35 years of Bart Schmidt of Airdrie, AB, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at the age of 92 years.
Doris lived West of Airdrie, AB until she met and married her first husband, Roy Gallelli in 1945. They moved from Cochrane, AB to the family homestead in 1950 where they raised their son Brian. Roy passed away suddenly in 1980. Doris met and married her second husband, Bart Schmidt in 1985. Doris and Bart continued to live on the family homestead until 2015 when Doris moved into the Bethany Care Centre.
Besides her loving husband Bart, Doris is lovingly remembered by her son, Brian Gallelli; two grandchildren, Julia McElroy (Shawn), Micheal Gallelli; 5 great-grandchildren, Courtney McElroy (John LaChance), Damian McElroy, Jordan Hardy, Kaleb McElroy, and Cheyanne Hardy; and two great- great-grandchildren, Berkley and Boston LaChance.
Doris was predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and daughter-in-law, Winnie Gallelli.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at the Bethany Care Centre for their care and compassion.
