Gwen passed peacefully from this life late in the evening of Friday, April 19, 2019 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and staff at Foothills Hospital, Unit 9.
Gwen was born and raised in Nanaimo, BC but had made Alberta as her home for the last 34 years between Airdrie and Carstairs.
Gwen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years Don Scott; daughter, Dawn Scott (son, Nathaniel, and daughter, Teanna); son, Dan Scott (wife, Vita and daughter, Yvonne); adopted grandchildren, Michelle, Nathan and David; brother, Robert ‘Bob’ High; sister-in-law, Marlene (husband, Dave Evans), sister-in-law, Elaine (husband, Don); niece, Jody Ellis and family, and Greg Evans. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Evelyn High; brothers, Roger High and Andrew High; In-Laws, George and Margaret Scott; brother-in-law, Art Mielke and grandson, Tyrese Scott.
Sorry for your loss Uncle Don, cousin Dawn and Dan. I will always remember my Aunty Gwen. I have some good childhood memories. Love you all.
