Vanessa Janay Ford

Great sadness fills our hearts as we say good-bye to our beloved Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter, Neice, Cousin, Friend, Vanessa Janay Ford, who passed away unexpectedly on December 17th in Calgary, Alberta. Vanessa was born in Edmonton, Alberta on February 19, 1988, Daughter of Glenda Phillips (Ron Barrett) and Moses Peters (Sumner Grandbois). Vanessa was 31 years old.

Vanessa is survived by Brothers and Sisters: Tyrone Ford, Terence Ford, Joshua Moxley, Lamarr Moxley, Moseanne Peters, Chaconia Grandbois, Belle Grandbois and Afina  Grandbois. 

She was dearly loved and prayed for daily by her beloved Grandmother, Patricia Ford (Sammy). Vanessa was part of a very large loving family including many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. 

Vanessa was predeceased by her Grandfather, Samuel Ford April 16, 2008. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Vanessa at Beddington Pentecostal Church, 16 Bermuda Dr NW, Calgary at 1pm on Friday, January 3rd, 2020. There will be a viewing from 12-1pm. Vanessa will be laid to rest following the Service in the Rockyview Burial Grounds in the garden area of ‘Everlasting Life.’

Thank you for your prayers, love and support for Vanessa’s family during this very difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations to Vanessa’s Mother, Glenda Phillips would be greatly appreciated to help with all the extra unexpected expenses. 

Vanessa will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.
