My sincerest condolences to you all... I am so very sorry to hear of Herb's passing. I worked with Herb at Superior Propane for a few years but more importantly we stayed in touch after I had moved on. These are the times that I will treasure. Herb always made a point to stay in touch.. we'd meet for a coffee, lunch or he'd just show up at my new work location to say hi and visit. I always loved those visits. Herb always gave me a run for my money :) .. he challenged me at work and made me earn his respect ... I truly loved him for so many reasons. He put up with no shit but was one of the kindest men I knew. I consider myself very fortunate to have known him. Herb made me laugh and he made me cry.. he confided in me and told me often how proud he was of his boys and grandkids.. and of course his pup... he'd come to work so scratched up that one day I had to ask if everything was OK.. it was his new puppy using him for a chew toy! LOL Then there was a time we met for lunch at Wendy's in Port Kells... to my surprise he had shaved off his beard and mustache.. I was so surprised! I told him how nice he looked and he said he was going to grow it back because when he had it he looked meaner and people stayed away from him! Of course he laughed after this but I'll never forget this... Or the time he sliced off the end of his finger at work and I wanted to take him for stitches, he was mad at me and adamant that he wasn't going to go ( meanwhile the end of his finger was dangling off ) when I stomped my foot and demanded he listen to me - I used the boss card here - he ripped off the end of the finger and washed it down the sink! Herb I will miss your antics and your sweet ways.. I will miss you texting me happy birthday and I will miss doing the same to you just a few days later..... I will think of you always with fond memories and consider myself blessed for having known you. Rest in peace my friend - till we meet again <3
