Alternatives Recognized At Environmental Awards Ceremony

Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services was recognized for its contribution to protecting the environment at the 2012 Langley Environmental Hero Awards held Saturday, June 9th.
Nominees were in three categories: Individual, Business or Organization, and Youth, and the ceremony took place at Fort Langley National Historic Site of Canada in Fort Langley, BC.
Michael Godin, Director Community Relations attended the ceremonies and commented, "We are honoured to have been nominated for this prestigious award and it was a pleasure to meet other individuals and businesses who share a strong concern for our environment".
The awards ceremony was presented by the Langley Environmental Partners Society - LEPS, The Langley Times, Mark Warawa, MP, and the Fort Langley National Historic Site.
Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services is very proud to be among a very small number of funeral services providers in North America to receive the 3-Leaf Green rating, the highest level possible, by the North Amiercan Green Burial Council.
