Heather McLean

Heather peacefully passed away on February 5, 2015 at the age of 69 surrounded by family & friends after a very brief & courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving family, husband Jim, children Lisa (Harvey), Colin (Cindy), mother May, sister Rosemary, grandchildren Georgia & Marcus, niece Vicky, her family, stepdaughters Christine, Cindy, Melissa, their families, and dear friends Lorraine & Gord and Gloria & Jim. She is predeceased by her father Colin Macintyre.
Heather, was born in Norwich, England & immigrated to Canada with her family in 1957. After her retirement from the Surrey School district in 2007, she was a dedicated volunteer for the Canadian Red Cross.
Heather's greatest joy was her family, especially the time spent with her mother & summer vacations with her grandchildren. She enjoyed scrapbooking family albums, Sunday knitting & adventures with dear friends.
As requested by Heather, no funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers please support the White Rock South Surrey Hospice Society or charity of your choice.

Dear Jim & family, I was so saddened to hear the news today. I started working in the district in 1981 at Central Library with Heather becoming my first supervisor. I remember her kindness and gentle guidance along with her wonderful sense of humour and smile. Those things never changed as our paths crossed many times over the years. My sincere condolences. May warm memories comfort you at this time.
