Sylvia Elsie Keye

August 20th, 2015

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep. She is survived by her 5 children Trish Hughes (Phil), Caroline Davis, Adam Keye (Angela), Jonathan Keye (Shelley) and Kateri Glancy (Laurence), 9 Grandchildren, Chris Blower (Karen), Patrick Blower, Jennie Grais, Jessica Davis, Matthew Davis (Gisele), Brendon Keye (Amber), Amber Petters, Sean Glancy and Mark Glancy, 12 Great Grandchildren, Jessie, Jenna, Samantha, Brandi, Tyler, Johnnie, Amber, Sahara, Jordyn, Sakura, Nathan and Christopher and 1 Great-great Grandchild Hailey Jade Rose. She is also survived by many relatives in the UK and abroad.

Born in Aldershot, England, Mum joined the Women's Royal Naval Service during World War II (WRNS) there she met and married her first husband. In 1964, she remarried and moved to Canada with her two oldest daughters. Mum had many occupations, teacher and LPN Nurse.

She was a wonderful, caring and loving person, always ready for a joke and a laugh. Many of our memories of her contain laughter and smiles. She enjoyed traveling and visited many countries during her life. She acted MANY years younger than her 88 years and always joked she would be 90 next year. Mum stayed active until her very last day and passed after a day with family.  She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends; her life touched many.

A Celebration of her Life will take place at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers donations to BC Children's Hospital are appreciated.

You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family.
