Laura Lynne Evanson

November 7th, 2014

Laura is now in good company with Ronnie May, Dolly Granny, Walt and Kath.  Her greatest achievements were the four children she brought into this world.  Ryan Evanson, Crystal Patrignani (Lana, Zacky and Skyla) Corey Evanson and Raymond Evanson.   She will be missed immensely by Glen and Dawne Evanson, June May, Rhianna May, Don Evanson, Roger Evanson, Bobbie May, Lois Warwick, Carol Gintrand and the love of her life Gerry McDonald.

Laura was so proud of the many advances she made at work, becoming a manager in record time was a huge accomplishment.  She loved her co-workers and treated them like family, most dear to her heart were Holly Sorley and Liz MacDonald.

Laura had an intense passion for fishing, hockey, Christmas decorating and she was also a self-proclaimed couponing queen.

Laura was an amazing person who was determined to do things her way, so as expected the following words are from her to all of us that loved her.

"In every dark corner there will always be one spot that we will look for, that speckle or pinhole of light. Even on the worst of days You Can find that light.

Each day, I challenge you to make a worthwhile gesture.

Help someone, hold doors for those with canes, strollers and wheelchairs.

Find a way to compliment or recognize a person who doesn't get much positive recognition.

Value the small moments where you excelled at something that may not matter to the rest of the world, it matters to you.

Create, help and guide positivity, this will lead you to a more peaceful and rewarding life.

The world will have more visible sides, even in the dark."

You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family.

To June, Glen and Dawne, I send my sincerest condolences on the premature passing of Laura. If I recollect correctly June, she was 'one of my babies', and it sounds like her memory will be forever with you and all her extended family. ThomasCampbell, a Scottish poet and contemporary of William Wordsworth, wrote: "To live in the hearts of those who remain behind, is not to die!" I hope these words offer some comfort at this time of your loss.

In that time of your illness having some good and not so good days " You did it all ". We will all look at these personal remembrances that you worked so hard to leave for us and we will cherish them forever. You will never be forgotten only missed more every passing day. LV MOM

Dear Laura, thank you for your wonderful, thought full and meaningful words filled with wisdom. We only wished we had known you better. Your dad and stepmom have told us many wonderful stories of you and your family. You will be deeply missed, love Dennis and Darlene Smithers, Osoyoos, BC

You are my best friend, you mean the world to me. You taught me how be brave in times of struggle, how to show patience in times of anger, and how to smile through the times of sorrow. You helped me through my bringing kids into this world and for that I will ensure you are never forgotten. When they ask me why they have a dimple in there chin I will explain how it is an evanson thing and that I got it from you. When they see pictures I will explain that moment and how much it meant and most of all as they grow I will teach them what you have taught me so you will live on through their actions. You are never really gone and as long as I remember you loved me, you live on in my heart. I love you mom. Xoxo

Laura , you were an inspiration for all of us.You faced terminal illness with a courage we've never seen before. You will be in our thoughts forever. Love Maggie & joost.

Laura At your "paradise" we are surrounded by your memories, fishing with your Dad, relaxing in the hot tub, watching our "favourite" shows and movies and the visits with Lana,Zack and Skyla. You worried that you wouldn't be remembered, but that will never happen. You are such a part of your children and grandchildren and that will continue as you loved to say for "eternity".
