Jean Margaret Chivers

November 9th, 2014

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Margaret Chivers, beloved wife of Donald Clifford Chivers,  mother of  Nigel Boyd Chivers (Rachel), and dear grandmother of Corbin and Jayleen.

Jean led a full and successful life as a teacher, artist and Classical pianist.  As a teacher, Jean genuinely cared for each and every student's success, and was responsible in making a difference to many of her students’ lives.  Jean's interests included sailing, snowbirding in Arizona, and playing the piano to the delight of her family and friends.

She will be remembered for her compassion, kindness, and generous nature.  She was a devoted wife and mother, who cherished her family.  She will be sorely missed by friends and family.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Al Hogg Pavilion, who made her last weeks comfortable.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.  Always in our hearts, may she rest in peace.

Memorial service will be held November 22nd, 2:30-4:30 at White Rock Community Centre, Hall C, 15154 Russell Avenue, White Rock (behind the HSBC at 1493 Johnston Road)
