Regina

Elden has lived and worked almost his entire life in Regina and area. Born and raised in Regina, he and his family moved in his early teens to a farm near Dilke, Saskatchewan. Growing up on the farm, he realized the value of hard work, honesty and integrity, and had a passion for independent business. This led to work in the service-based automotive industry for almost twenty years. The culmination of this career was the opportunity to own and operate automotive parts and repair shops in Regina and Hawaii, USA.

In 2004, wishing for a change of direction in career, Elden became employed in a Regina based funeral home part-time. He truly enjoyed serving the families on a more direct level, and became a licensed Funeral Director in 2007.

In 2010, an opportunity to move to the small town of Raymore, Saskatchewan was taken and Elden welcomed the move back to the country. It was seen that Raymore and area would benefit from a local funeral business and in July of 2012, Conley Funeral Home was established in Raymore on main street in the historic former Goldfinch hardware store building.

Elden is the owner of Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services® in Regina. The Alternatives brand was established in 1992 in British Columbia and opened its doors in Regina in 2010.

Elden is an active member of the local community. He sits on the board of the Raymore Rockets hockey club, has sat on the board of the Raymore United Church and the Raymore Protestant Cemetery. He also is the past caretaker of the cemetery during the summer, and is an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Semans Branch #108.

He’s an avid collector and trader of antiques. Fishing, researching local history, and times with family and friends are also important to him.

Heather graduated from the Canadian College of Funeral Service in 2020 after a two year work/study program including a three year internship. She is a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, and in 2026 obtained her license for pre-planning.

Originally from Regina, Heather worked in Paris for a year as an Aupair after high school. Once back in Canada, she wanted to maintain her French and made the decision to study in Montreal where she stayed for 15 years before moving back to Saskatchewan in 2012.

Heather recognizes the importance of being in the moment and tries to find joy and meaning in every day. She is passionate about excellence in service and work standards as well as a personalized and evolving approach to funeral. A guide for those in need, Heather regards her roles as both a great honour and responsibility.

Among her favourite things to do outside of work, Heather enjoys home projects with her husband George, long walks and cooking.

Madison was born and raised in Indian Head, Saskatchewan, a farming community, where she is surrounded by her large family and many friends. Coming from such a loving environment, she chose to put her love and compassion towards the grieving, and entered the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Funeral Service School in 2020. Madison became a fully licensed Funeral Director in September 2023, followed by her Embalming license in 2024. 

Madison’s “call” to become a Funeral Director was born out of a unique experience. In 2019, she witnessed a car accident while driving and instinctively stopped to help.  

For Madison at the time of the accident, it was her “fight or flight” instinct that kicked-in. She was so proud to fight for the family after the great loss they now had to overcome. As it turned out, it was after this incident that Madison wanted to be a grieving person’s steady hand, and her path to becoming a licensed Funeral Director was on its way. 

Outside of work Madison, her family and close family friends run a foundation called Webster/Faubert Classic. They host sporting fundraisers within their community where they raise money to support families who have experienced loss themselves, offering financial assistance in times of need and to contribute to improvements throughout their community.
